With this thinking hat, you focus on the data available. Look at the information you have, and see what you can learn from it. Look for gaps in your knowledge, and either try to fill them or take account of them.    This is where you analyze past trends, and try to extrapolate from historical data.

While my average was not 200 like I had hoped, there is room to celebrate.  I weigh less than any time in the past 2 years.  My weekly loss leveled off in the later weeks of the quarter due to the pace of life slowing.  I had more time to think about eating… which is just about the whole of it.  That is not how I want to live, so I need solutions that work in both environments and will work for at least the next 80 years.
