My Passion is learning and performance improvement with a focus on using Virtual Worlds for business and educational purposes.
My passion for learning and performance improvement runs through my posts. There are 3 general themes: Learning and Performance Improvement, Virtual Worlds (a subset) and social networking. Oh, and chess. I play every day online at Chess.com as HPTchess. Log on and let’s play a game.
I currently work for Mirant Corporation full time as their Training Coordinator for the Northeast region and am based near New York City.
To pursue my Vision, Mission and Passion further, I founded Creative Solutions to:
*Help organizations with performance problems when the answer to “Could the person do it if their life depended on it?” is no.
*help business, educators and individuals enter virtual worlds profitably. We work with Imagilearning to provide a range of services to assist individuals, soloperners, educators and businesses in their search for the pools of profit in the virtual worlds.
*offer non-fiction writing services.

Some basic information about me follows: My experience includes 17 years of in training and performance improvement and over 25 years in the power generation industry. My passion and expertise are centered on learning and performance improvement in the digital age. I am a member of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) and earned the Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) designation. In addition, I am a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and earned their highest professional certification: Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). I spent six years in the Navy aboard nuclear submarines.
